Peel Commissioners have submitted a planning application for a marquee at the promenade kiosk during the winter months.
It comes following a trial period in which the structure meant people could visit the kiosk throughout the whole year.
Owners Frankie and Jackie Horne say the marquee is beneficial to the convenience and comfort of customers, especially during periods of wet and windy weather.
If approved, the marquee would be up from October to March over the outside seating area.
