Onchan commissioners will have to wait to pass a motion forcing one of its members to apologise for a data breach.
At a meeting earlier this month, members wanted to vote on censuring the member - who hasn't been named - but couldn't because of its rules on motions without notice.
The meeting heard accusations members have disclosed private and confidential information, taken confidential documents from the building and used personal emails for local authority business.
The board heard a motion could be put up for a vote in a future meeting.
