Commerce breakfast to look at Open University

The first details regarding the Manx Education Foundation’s plans to bring the Open University to the Isle of Man will be made public on Tuesday.

The Pioneers of the project will be giving a presentation to a Chamber of Commerce breakfast on the 7th August.

The plan is to put the Island firmly on the map as a World Class Technology jurisdiction, with degrees and training offered in IT security.

Chief Executive of the Chamber of Commerce Mike Hennessy told us the presentation will also focus on how the private sector can get involved in the plans.
