Elderly people on the Isle of Man could be represented by their own government minister or departmental member.
The Chief Minister has confirmed the Council of Ministers will consider establishing a role with responsibility for the Island's older generation.
That's despite there currently being a political member with delegation for adult services within the Department of Health and Social Care.
The question was raised in the House of Keys yesterday by Onchan MHK Rob Callister who asked government to consider it:
