Rules surrounding collective responsibility have been relaxed for the new Council of Ministers.
That's what Tynwald was told yesterday when the Chief Minister Howard Quayle confirmed he'd updated the government code:
Collective responsibility is where cabinet members must support decisions made in the cabinet even if they don't privately agree with them.
Existing exemptions remain which include matters of conscience, a pre-declared position and constituency matters.
