Traders on the Isle of Man are being banned from cold calling potential customers.
From June 1st it will become illegal for people to use the method as a sales technique - either face to face or on the telephone:
The Office of Fair Trading says the move will protect consumers as it will disrupt the activities of those who pressurise people to buy goods or services.
