Coastguards were called out yesterday to rescue an animal from the sea.
Peel teams were mobilised to Glen Wyllin beach to reports of a sheep cut off by the tide, on arriving the animal was found to be swimming in the sea.
It was directed back to the beach and a local farmer called to take care of it whilst its owner could be traced.
Crews have also thanked members of the public for their help in bringing the woolly creature back to land.
