Coastguards were called into action last night when a patient needed urgently transferring to the UK.
The Douglas rescue team were called into action just before midnight when the Island's Air Ambulance Service asked for assistance.
They set up the landing site at Noble's Hospital for the Rescue 199 helicopter from Prestwick.
The helicopter, bound for Aintree in Liverpool with the patient aboard, left shortly after 1.30am.
