It's been a busy week for Douglas coastguards this week - as they were called out three times in 24 hours.
They went to the rescue of an unconscious man in Port Skillion, helped someone from the foot of cliffs on Marine drive, and were then called to remove rope which could have damaged boats.
A member of the public spotted the rope on rocks just below the former coastguard station at Little Head.
Officers say it could have damaged boats if allowed to float off on the tide.
