Damian Ciappelli is to stand in Douglas Central in this year’s General Election.
The Tromode Park resident, who works with a local firm of Advocates, believes his skills would be beneficial as an MHK.
In his manifesto, Mr Ciappelli talks about sustainability and the protection of front line services for the elderly.
He has also expressed concern about government overspending and borrowing.
This year's election gets underway on Thursday, 23 September.
