Church service to mark history of Bride School

Former pupils of Bride School are expected to turn out in force this Thursday at a church service commemorating the life and times of the facility, which will be shutting its doors at the end of this term.

The school and its contribution to the community over the past 120 years will be celebrated at the service, to be attended by Lieutenant Governor Adam Woods on Thursday.

The school was deemed no longer viable with dwindling numbers, it’s 3 remaining pupils will be transferred to Andreas.

The invitation only service will be held at St Bridget’s Church and will be conducted by Bride vicar Reverend Brian Evans-Smith who will lead prayers and conduct a special blessing for the pupils and staff.
