Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, has arrived in Laxey today following devastating floods in the town.
He's cut short a UK trip in order to speak to residents affected and those caring for them - a major incident was declared there yesterday and a huge emergency response carried out to tackle the situation.
The severe conditions during Tuesday saw the town cut off, people trapped in their homes, vehicles washed away and around 150 properties without power.
Outside of the village, heavy showers and high water levels also caused chaos on Island highways including the Mountain Road and Douglas to Ramsey Coast Road.
