The Chief Minister says he supports bringing in a living wage for all workers on the Island.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle was quizzed on the issue by Ramsey MHKs Lawrie Hooper in the House of Keys yesterday.
Mr Quayle says he is in favour and government should set an example by becoming a living wage employer, paying the £8.61 an hour rate.
but he says the impact and cost implications need to be fully understood before it's brought in.
