The Island's Chief Constable says if things don't change the police will run out of money for the first time in ten years.
Gary Roberts gave evidence to Tynwald's Public Accounts Committee yesterday in Douglas.
He said budget cuts and staff shortages have had significant consequences for the Island.
And he warned a limited training budget threatens the Island's policing standards - which he warned could become 'mediocre'.
