Emergency services were called to an incident involving hazardous materials yesterday which closed a road in the south of the Island.
At around 11am fire crews went to a car park behind the fuel station on Victoria Road in Castletown.
Aluminium pizza trays started to give off fumes and react with a chemical cleaning agent.
Two firefighters in hazmat chemical suits contained the materials and disposed of them safely before decontaminating the area.
The incident took an hour and a half to deal with before the road was reopened.
