A local charity has given a hospital £41,000 to buy new equipment.
The Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust donated the money to the Noble's Hospital Radiology Department.
A specialist MRI-compatible anaesthetic machine could mean fewer children have to go off-Island for MRI scans.
The Trust has also paid for five patient privacy screens for use in the department.
