A charity – aimed at educating young motorists - is being registered in memory of a teenage girl who died in a car crash.
14-year-old Lucia Porter was killed in an incident on the Switchback Road near Peel on Saturday night.
The car she was travelling in – along with seven other teenagers – crashed in a field. Five other people who were being treated in hospital have now been released.
In light of the tragedy, a friend of the family is spearheading the initiative with the aim of working with government to educate young drivers and introduce new safety measures.
