Charity HBOT IOM has ordered a new 10 Person Hyperbaric Chamber.
In June 2018 the facility was closed after the existing chamber was deemed obsolete and needed to be replaced.
A new chamber, costing in the region of £400,000, has now been ordered and is expected to arrive in around 9 months time.
A spokesman said it is being made by a world-leading firm in Germany and will put the Isle of Man back on the map as one of 12 Hyperbaric Medicine facilities in the British Isles.
The fundraising campaign continues for the monies needed for the final balance along with the purchase of new equipment and refurbishment of the facility in Peel Road.
Designed to treat divers suffering from decompression sickness, hyperbaric chambers can also been used to aid recovery from radiation therapy, crush injuries and skin ulcers.
