Postal services in St Johns are set for change in 2020 with officials saying a counter-based service there is 'no longer financially viable'.
Isle of Man Post Office has announced - following consultation with business partners and stakeholders - they won't be employing a new sub postmaster there in the New Year.
The organisations Chair, Julie Edge MHK, says the retail owner of the store will instead run a postal kiosk and parcel drop off facility to retain some services in the town - the post box outside will also stay and collection times won't change.
Current sub postmaster there, Rob Knighton, announced back in May he would be stepping down from his role on December 31.
