The Island's Chamber of Commerce wants a full review into the calculation of the Living Wage since 2017.
The organisation says many members believe the miscalculation of the figure has unnecessarily fuelled inflation in their own businesses.
It's added that those who want to pay their staff fairly must be able to rely on the government figures.
As a result, Chamber is asking for a full review where it's calculated by an independent body, using a trusted and recognised formula.
