Celtic mosaic goes on display at Town Hall

A Celtic mosaic which was made to commemorate the 150th birthday of Archibald Knox has gone on display at Douglas Town Hall.

It was commissioned two years ago to coincide with Tynwald Day - schoolchildren from across the Island helped artist Elaine Edge create the eight feet by four feet structure.

The cross has now been installed in the foyer of the Town Hall - the council leader has described it as a 'potent reminder' of the Island's Viking ancestry.
