The ship that had run aground on the northern coast yesterday is now successfully back in the water.
The CEG Orbit, a cargo ship travelling from Liverpool to Belfast, became stuck between Cranstal and the Point of Ayre at approximately 2am yesterday morning.
An attempt to free the vessel yesterday afternoon was unsuccessful, however the Laxey Towing Company managed it during the high tide overnight.
The ship is in Douglas South Quay this morning where diving teams will check her for water damage.
