Mark Cavendish has crashed in the opening day of the Ghent Day Six in Belgium.
The Manx Missile has sustained minor injuries after coming off his bike during the time trial lap.
As a result the 34-year-old won’t race next Tuesday.
It comes following Belgian racer Gerben Thijssen being taken to intensive care after a heavy crash earlier this week.
