16 Points to Overturn to Secure Green Jersey

Mark Cavendish could be on course to make one of the most successful tournament turnarounds in recent memory.

After a disastrous start to this years Tour De France he has defied his critics and is now back in the frame for the Green Jersey with only 16 points separating him from the top.

He seemingly effortlessly breezed to victory yesterday despite being ill with Bronchitis.

There’s two more stages to go with a time trial today and the big sprint finish finale in Paris tomorrow.

Cav said he has to forget about his illness until tomorrow is out of the way, then he can enjoy a break.
