Tour Of Britain Stage One winner facing a battle after enforced day off
Tour de France sprint star Mark Cavendish was back in the saddle today after the gale force winds meant the cancellation of stage 2; the Kendal to Blackpool leg of the Tour of Britain.
Cavendish took victory on his return to The Tour of Britain after four years away, sprinting to victory at Whitesands in Dumfries.
Stage Three of The Tour of Britain was the Stoke-on-Trent stage with the leaders battling severe cross winds and Cavendish managing a respectable 4th place at the finish line.
