Blow to Cav and Team as Mark Renshaw Thrown Off Tour for Headbutting
Mark Cavendish's third win of the Tour De France has been overshadowed by the disqualification of his HTC Columbia team mate, Mark Renshaw.
Renshaw was clearing the path for Cav to sprint to the finish in the closing stages of the race when he appeared to headbutt New Zealand rider Julian Dean.
As a result Renshaw has been thrown off the Tour, bad news for Cav and his team.
Ultimately Cav did take the win however moving him upto fourth place in the Green Jersey table, just 29 points off Thor Hushovd, with Italy's Alessandro Petacchi moving to the top spot.
Speaking about Renshaw Cav said he's been a fantastic team mate so far in the tour and instrumental in his 3 victories.
