Mark Cavendish capped off a very disappointing week in Australia over the weekend finishing 120th in the final stage after a plan to launch teammate Matt Goss to victory backfired.
Mark had struggled throughout the week, with a crash midway through leaving him battered and bruised.
For a change Cav assumed the role of lead-out man for Goss on the final day, it wasn’t to be however and Team Sky’s Ben Swift and Greg Henderson took the top two spots.
Cav finished the race 120th, coming last in the overall classification.
He has vowed to return next year however and win stages.
