Market Square in Castletown will re-open to motorists later this month.
Earlier this year, Castletown Commissioners made the decision to pedestrianise the area - and close it to traffic throughout the summer.
The announcement came following a public survey, which showed 65% of respondents supported the idea of creating an open space in the town centre.
The square will re-open to traffic by midday on September 19.
