The only Manx man ever to be awarded the Victoria Cross will be honoured tomorrow.
Major Robert Cain, who used to live in Castletown, will have the swing bridge there named after him.
A new exhibition at the Manx Aviation and Military Museum will also be opened which will tell the story of why he was awarded the military honour.
The two events have been organised to tie in with the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem in Holland.
