The government says it's carried out 14 site visits to a disused hotel in Douglas since 2011.
A freedom of information request asked how many times inspectors had been to the Castle Mona Hotel to check it was being maintained in line with protected building laws.
In response, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture said it's visited twice this year, and seven times last year.
However, inspectors only produced two reports after site visits - with the most recent in 2013.
