Care home residents will start receiving Covid-19 vaccines from today.
A team of vaccinators will be heading to care homes across the Island over the next few weeks, starting at Southlands in Port Erin today (January 18).
Care home residents are also set to be the first to receive the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine - at the same time the rollout to healthcare staff and the over 80s will continue at the Newlands Ward at Noble’s Hospital.
By the end of this week, officials expect well over 200 care home residents will have received their first dose.
