Douglas council is putting its parking charges up by more than twice the rate of inflation.
At Shaw's Brow, it would mean charges go up from £1.80 to £2 for the first hour.
There's also a rise planned for those renting their space annually - the cost of parking for a year will rise from £1,410 to £1,467.
Council staff, however, will still get discounted parking there: they'll pay £224 a year.
