One of the UK’s foremost environmental campaigners is on the Island this week to discuss a range of topical issues affecting the planet.
Craig Bennett of Friends of the Earth UK will be tackling climate change and coastal erosion - holding talks and a presentation for Tynwald members.
He says the Isle of Man has the potential to become a leading light on sustainability creating a blueprint for other countries to adopt.
Craig says with the Island as exposed as it is government needs to be looking at long term investments in weather defences:
