Three of the Island's RNLI crews were called out on Thursday to two separate incidents.
Douglas lifeboats were called to the aid of a fishing boat that had suffered an engine fire and due to the weather conditions, had a challenging time towing it to shore.
There were no reported injuries with neither crewman in need of immediate assistance.
In Port Erin, there were reports of a kite surfer being blown out to sea, with lifeboats called as the weather was deteriorating.
Crews were called out to assist in the search for the kite surfer, which turned out to be a false alarm as it was found to be a yacht.
People are reminded that if you ever see anyone in difficulty to call 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard.
