The Cabinet Office says it doesn't know how many Tynwald members are also members of secret societies.
A Freedom of Information request asked how many representatives in the House of Keys and Legislative Council were involved in secret organisations.
The question named Freemasons and Rotary Clubs as examples of such societies.
In response, the Cabinet Office explained it doesn't hold such information but said the Clerk of Tynwald's Office might be able to help.
