The Cabinet Office says the government sent out more than 106,000 pension pay slips in the last year.
A Freedom of Information request asked for details about how much printed payslips cost to post to people.
In its response, the organisation said between last September and August this year it had posted 106,739 payslips to retired employees.
But it added it didn't have a figure for how much sending them had cost.
