A by-election will be held in Ramsey following the death of a commissioner.
Nominations for South Ward will open on 31 January and if two or more people come forward, then an election will be held on 7 March.
More information for people wanting to stand will be issued next Thursday, 25 January.
Leonard Singer, who served three terms as a commissioner, died in December last year.
