Busy Tynwald Scheduled

Today's sitting of Tynwald will be dominated with talk about the UK Pre Budget Report and the topic of the legal high Mephadrone will be discussed again.

David Cannan will be asking about a discrepancie that came up following the UK's pre budget report.

In it they said as a result of ending the TAX and VAT sharing arrangement with the Isle of Man they will recoup between £100 and £200 million within the first year, previously Chief Minister Tony Brown had said it would only be a £50 million for the first year.

The Chief Minister will be asked to clarify which set of figures are accurate.

MHK for Douglas John Houghton will also ask DHSS Minister Eddie Teare about how many people have been treated in Nobled from the effects of legal high Mephedrone, and at what cost to the taxpayer.
