Bus Crashes Into Isle Of Man Bank

A Double Decker bus has crashed into a building in a busy Douglas Street.

Just before 10:00hrs the bus was turning into Athol Street from Prospect Hill when it collided with the Isle of Man bank.

We've just spoke to Sergeant Andrew Kneen at the scene. (audio above)

He told us that there were no passengers on the bus and the male driver escaped injury.

He said the incident could have potentially been a lot worse.

Athol Street was closed untill just after Midday to ensure the vehicle was safely removed.
