A quarter of a million pounds could be saved each year thanks to changes to the bus timetable.
The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure is putting forward a number of changes for approval to the Road Transport Licensing Committee.
Among the amendments are changes in frequency to some services, the introduction of a direct route to Noble’s Hospital from the south and a change in the type of bus used on some routes.
Director of public transport Ian Longworth says the changes need to be commercially viable:
