The Royal British Legion says it needs reassurance Ramsey's War Memorial will be accessible once the courthouse building is sold.
The stone memorial, in the gardens around the building, is protected under a 2015 Manx law governing how war memorials must be preserved.
But the Ramsey branch of the Legion has now written to Treasury Minister Alf Cannan asking about people's rights to visit the monument.
Branch chairman Colin Douglas says he's worried access may be restricted depending on who buys the site:
