British Airways will begin operating three flights a day to London City from next year.
Infrastructure Minister David Cretney confirmed the news in Tynwald yesterday.
It's seen as positive news in light of rival airline Flybe announcing it was pulling its daily service to London Gatwick in the spring.
Concerns had been raised by the business community about maintaining links to the UK capital.
Mr Cretney says the increased service to London City will start in March and is good news for all.
