Douglas Town Centre Management has confirmed people will now be able to dispose of glass, cans, paper, textiles and cardboard there.
However, officials say there are still high volumes of traffic each day and so delays are likely - they add people may wish to consider using one of the alternative government-run bring banks elsehwere on Island if it's too busy.
Meanwhile, the re-use centre at the complex in Pulrose remains closed.
