Bone Density Service has moved to Douglas

The Bone Density Service will move from Noble's Hospital to the Community Health Centre in Douglas on 11th August.

It's part of a long-term plan to utilise community health facilities for the delivery of non-urgent care. 
 
This means the facilities at Noble's can be used to give emergency care to patients in a more serious condition.
 
The bone density scanner is used to assess a patients' risk of having a fracture. 
 
Val Cowgill is a senior radiographer she told us why it's a more convenient scenario:
