A blue plaque has been unveiled by Mayor of Douglas Jon Joughin in honour of Manx-born women's suffrage activist Sophia Goulden.
It's now on display outside her former home at no.9 Strathallan Crescent in the town.
Councillor Joughin says the honour also emphasises the importance of her contribution to advancing women's rights.
Her daughter, Emmeline Pankhurst, went on to become the leader of the British suffragette movement.
