Manx Care says it was asked for 1,341 units of blood last year.
A Freedom of Information request asked for details about transfusions in the last 12 months.
It said it received an average of 64 requests for transfusions each month.
On average it took 7 hours for the laboratory to issue the blood - although in urgent cases that figure was 59 minutes.
