Police are warning people to not drive unless completely necessary, as black ice closes numerous roads across the Island.
Officers took to social media earlier tonight to say they’ve received numerous reports of black ice - and have described the conditions as treacherous.
So far, the road The Hope, St Johns, through to Mines Road, Foxdale has been closed.
Police and DOI are currently on scene and are asking people to use alternative routes.
They’re advising if you don’t need to drive, then don’t - to slow down, adjust your stopping distances and stay at home.
