People can now make applications and claims for income support online.
The move comes as part of the government's modernisation of social services and welfare.
Claimants need to register with the government online services and set up a social security account.
There are also plans to introduce digital submissions for Employed Person’s Allowance and Jobseeker’s Allowance.
