A man frustrated over his benefits claim subjected government staff to a barrage of abuse.
Ralph Walker, of Derby Road in Douglas, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 54-year-old admitted provoking behaviour in Markwell House in Douglas on February 14.
Walker forgot to take his card to claim benefits and became abusive when staff said they wouldn't replace it.
He threatened to smash windows and knocked over a stack of paperwork as he stormed out.
Walker was put on probation for two years and ordered to pay £150 costs.
