The Ben my Chree will spend up to two weeks in drydock in July as she undergoes routine maintenance.
In Tynwald this week, Treasury Minister Alex Allinson faced questions about the vessel from Central Douglas MHK Chris Thomas.
He wanted to know what work needed to be done on the ferry.
Dr Allinson said a wide variety of work was planned, including overhaul work on generators:
